QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field required (Master’s degree preferred),
- 8+ years’ successful network troubleshooting experience as a system administrator,
- A valid certification is must (CCNA or equivalent),
- Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervision,
- Proven experience managing a large and complex network,
- Citrix Netscaler experience preferred,
- Arista Network experience preferred,
- Effective problem-solving skills,
- Strong safety record and a history of establishing safe work practices,
- Ability to respond to internal support requests after hours,
- Expert knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities,
- In-depth knowledge and experience with virtualization architectures is must, Citrix XenServer knowledge preferred,
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, Perl, Python and other related applications. Debian Linux (and variants) is preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Determining future network needs and plan for network changes,
- Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment,
- Create projects that are designed to either add functionality required by the company or to address ongoing network failure issues,
- Engage in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolve network and servers connectivity issues,
- Analyze the current network structure and submit quarterly comprehensive reports to executive team on how to make the network more efficient,
- Provide ongoing technical advice, assistance, and training to fellow associates,
- Focus on performance, throughput, and latency to build and maintain network architecture.
